Winter Masses to start Sept. 13 at St. Mary Our Lady of Sorrows

Sept. 13 is Grandparents Day!

At St. Mary Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on U.S. 41 south of County Line Road, on Sept. 13, they will start their winter Masses 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Also on this Sunday, St. Vincent De Paul will have a food drive. All items needed, especially with the holidays coming.

Information on free medication provided

St. Vincent De Paul Society (SVDP) has information on free medication for those of all ages with limited income; those with limited or no prescription insurance or coverage; and those on Medicare who are in the doughnut hole. SVDP has people who can obtain medication directly from the pharmaceutical companies at no extra cost. For more information, call 727-868-8160.

Parsolano-Marcum marriage

Helen Arline Havens Parsolano and David Neal Marcum were united in marriage last Saturday, Aug. 29, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 6:30 p.m. by Pastor David Brockhoff. Maid of honor was Sherri Croson; best man was Dustin Marcum, the groom's son; bridesmaid was Stephanie Parsolano; and flower girl was Rebecca Parsolano, both daughters of the bride. Ring bearer was Joshua Marcum, grandson of the groom. Groomsman was Dennis Marcum, son of the groom. Reception was held at the Waterfall Ballroom which is next to the Palace Grand in Spring Hill. Family attending were bride's mother Helen Havens; bride's brothers, Richard Havens and his wife Barbara from St. Petersburg; Gary Havens and his wife Deema from Elbert, Colo.; and Robert and his wife Christine from Jackson, N.J. Next day, the family and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Marcum enjoyed a barbecue and pool party at their home before they go off on their honeymoon to Alaska.

Visitors

Last weekend, Virginia Ver enjoyed the company of her niece Ginny Wentzel and her son Robert Stack from Naples. Ginny makes the rounds, next to brother in Fort White, then her father Al Castello and his wife Bertha in Fort Lauderdale. Ginny and son are staying at the Koogler House which is owned by George and Diana Rodriguez. Ginny just loves to roam around old Masaryktown, especially the Christmas House. They had an enjoyable time.

Kim Sanders has returned from Shelbyville, Mich., visiting friends and family for a few days.

Get well

Get well wishes to Diana Rodriguez who is home after a few days at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson.
