Police brutality

»  Comments | Post a Comment

In the 16 years I've lived in Hernando County, I have noticed an increasing degree of aggressiveness in law enforcement officers throughout our county and country.

Have they lowered the bar on psychological testing? I think some of these police brutality cases we see more and more of are a case of passive aggression.

Passive aggressive people often think they are not being treated fairly. According to them, they are innocent victims of oppressive treatment.

Worst is the case when they become offensive on seeing you are upset due to their behavior. They also have a fear of dependency and because of this they try to have control over others. Moreover, they think others should be punished for their faults.

I was told many years ago by a retired state trooper that I befriended: Once you start looking at everyone as a suspect or a perp, it's time to hang up the badge and gun. If not, somebody is going to come out on the smelly end of the stick - and since I have the gun (in most cases) what do you think?
