Spring Hill Garden Club will conduct its annual fall plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2-3, at the plant nursery located at 1489 Parker Ave., off Spring Hill Drive. Along with reasonably priced plants for sale, there will be local garden product vendors.
Kathy Lockwood, Spring Hill Garden Club president and nursery manager, said the seven outside vendors will make the sale more interesting for customers.
"They will be selling ginger, bamboo, carnivorous plants and garden decorative items such as wind chimes and garden art," she said. "We try to have things that you wouldn't see at The Home Depot or Walmart."
Lockwood said the purpose of the semi-annual sales is to raise money for the botanical gardens.
"We have a couple projects in mind such as an irrigation system," she said. "We also want to make the gardens handicap-accessible by paving the main circular path."
The Garden Café will be serving sausage, hot dogs, doughnuts and beverages.
