Supporting America's real values

I read Pastor Jerry Waugh's article published on Thanksgiving Day entitled 'Is the Grinch now going after Thanksgiving' with sadness. Sadness because he says that America is our country and it is.

It is our land and our values. The American lifestyle has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have fought, sought and died for America and its culture, heritage and values.

I visited the National cemetery in Bushnell with some of my friends in the Christian Motorcyclists Association this past Saturday where we had a time of prayer for the families of all of these patriots and our country.

If you didn't know where you were, you could believe you were at Arlington, Va., or one of the cemeteries in Europe. Looking out we see row upon row of grave markers. Remembered were millions of fallen men and women of our armed forces who paid the ultimate price to save this great country from those enemies who would change America's values, culture, heritage and way of life.

Each of these patriots had wives, girlfriends, husbands, boyfriends, moms, dads, hopes and dreams that never came to fruition for them, but they sacrificed for us and their country and now so much is being taken away in the name of political correctness.

We see it with Thanksgiving and Christmas. We see it now with a new name for the war on terror, we have to be careful not to call the murder of 14 people at Fort Hood a terrorist act, and we must try K.S.M. in a New York civilian court rather than a military one even though Eric Holder says we are at war.

Now, we have the Navy Seal outrage! Imagine, our Navy Seals do a heroic job of capturing a high level terrorist in war and the terrorist got a bloody lip while being held in captivity.

The terrorist claims one of the Seals hit him and now all three of the Seals are being brought up on charges. This should be more than an outrage.

Pastor Waugh, I will continue to fight with you for the soul of America. Wake up Americans, you need to write, e-mail, call your representatives and senators and demand our values be restored. Work for and support candidates that reflect your values, America's real values, the ones that made this the greatest country in the history of the world, or we will lose it.
