Cold snap, red flag warnings to end

Temperatures will remain in the 30s early this morning, but highs are expected to creep upward to the mid-70s, according to the National Weather Service.

The next three days should include temperatures in the high 70s and lows in the mid-40s to mid-50s range, forecasters have said.

Rain might enter the picture Tuesday, but showers are more likely for Wednesday, said National Weather Service meteorologist Jennifer McNatt.

The red flag warnings for Friday and Saturday are not likely to continue, she said.

In order for such a warning to be issued, there must be 35 percent or less relative humidity for four hours or more.

On Saturday, the relative humidity is only supposed to dip below that mark for one or two hours, McNatt said.

By Monday, there will be enough moisture in the air to keep humidity levels well above 35 percent, she said.
