I would like very much to thank the Applebee's Restaurant Corp. for its very magnanimous gesture of offering a dinner free of charge to all veterans on Veterans Day.
Although it is a small gesture to the men and women who served this country, it was worth far more than the price of a meal. It was really some recognition for what they did - protect our country.
No one can ever thank them enough, but at least they tried.
