I do want health care reform, but not like what has been voted on in Congress. This hurts most of us. Taxes will go up, no doubt. Medicare suffers. That hurts disabled persons and the elderly - those we are entrusted to care for.
Let's focus on tort reform and moderating cost. For one thing, insurance companies shouldn't be charged less than individuals. Allow interstate competition between insurers.
Let's find job opportunities for the uninsured that allow them to be able to purchase health insurance. Most moral and decent persons would rather work for benefits than depend on handouts. This gives people self-esteem.
Taking from one class of people and giving to another isn't the answer. Letting the government run our health care system is not the answer. It will become the problem.
Congress needs to write a bill we all can read and understand. If we the people cannot understand it, we don't want it.
Go back to the KISS principle - keep it simple stupid!
And above all. May this country please go back to trusting in God.
