Showing their true colors

Just when I was thought we had heard the last of him since the 2008 election, the ever-bumptious John Russell rears up again this time at the Tea Party Rally in Brooksville.

Now, to be fair to Mr. Russell, I think he should have been allowed to speak, just so the people could be reminded just how out of touch he is with the people of the 5th District.

Could you imagine if he had won and he and Rep. Alan Grayson got together? Could you just hear the two of them standing side by side spouting off statements about Republicans' position in regards to the health care debate?

On the other hand, I am very suspicious of this guy Jason Sager. Here is using the Tea Party movement for his own personal gain, that being a chance to unseat U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite in the Republican primary.

My question to the Republicans of the 5th Congressional District: Why would you want to toss aside someone like Brown-Waite, who has proven herself to be a very good representative for our district for a guy who is basically a novice?

On a personal level, I have met Ms. Brown-Waite a few times and my impression of her is that she is a very sensible and honest person and one of the few good people in Congress.
