Lars, Melissa and son Lars Solomonsen are enjoying a visit from Melissa's uncle Paul Larrivee from Falls River, Mass. Larrivee is here for his great-niece Makenzee Lynn Aguiar for her third birthday later on this month.
Last weekend was bittersweet. On Oct. 31, a farewell party was held at the home of our Postmistress Niki and her husband Dave Levesque. Their surprise party was for Niki's son Kendall Heubert, who had enlisted and was accepted to the U.S. Marine Corps, leaving for his base on Nov. 2. So mom Niki and Dave held the surprise party for about 25 friends including his sister Mallory. Everyone decorated the house; which was done in red, white and blue, including the cake. Games, darts, finger foods, snacks and refreshments were enjoyed by all.
Next day, Nov. 1, the family had a get-together at the Levesque home for a family farewell. Included were Kendall Heubert, Mallory Heubert, Niki, Dave, Niki's mom/grandma Delores Newsome, and aunt Mary Bartendale, who is grandma's sister. Joe from the Post Office bought Kendall a huge, oversized steak and big baked potato with his compliments. Too big for Kendall to finish. Dee Mills came by and said farewell. Our best wishes go with you and Godspeed.
