Sunshine Grove widening closes section of road

Hernando County Engineering Office has announced a temporary closure of the portion of Sunshine Grove Road between Chambord Street and Taft Street on Saturday, Nov. 7; Sunday, Nov. 8; and Sunday, Nov. 15. Traffic will be detoured to Chambord Street, Jacqueline Road and Taft Street to necessitate the relocation of power poles along the east side of the road.
Progress Energy is conducting the relocation in preparation for the widening of Sunshine Grove Road from State Road 50 to Ken Austin Parkway. The detour route will be clearly marked, and the closures will occur between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on the designated days.
