Yaine Concepsion Alonso, 23, was arrested Monday and charged with six counts of passing counterfeit bills at the Bank of America at 6023 Spring Hill Drive.

A sheriff's report said Alonso, whose mailing address is listed as Spring Hill, attempted to deposit $3,000 into an account that allegedly belonged to her husband. Six of the $20 notes were found to be counterfeit, the report said.

Alonso told deputies she was depositing money she received from the sale of her 2003 Ford back in August. She said she sold the vehicle for $7,000 but had no bill of sale, according to the report. She also told deputies she had another $2,000 in cash inside her vehicle.

A search of her vehicle found two more counterfeit $20 bills, according to the report.

The purchaser of Alonso's car told deputies he bought it for $7,500 and that he gave Alonso $2,800 in $100 bills and the remaining $4,700 in a bank cashier's check.

Alonso was taken to the Hernando County Jail where bond was set at $12,000.
