Superintendent Wayne Alexander will be among the three candidates interviewing for the city's top education post next week, according to media reports.
The Brockton Enterprise is reporting that Alexander will be interviewed by the School Committee at 7 p.m. Monday.
The two other candidates will be interviewed Tuesday.
Two messages left for a spokesman with the school district in Brockton were not returned Thursday.
Alexander was hired to be Hernando County's superintendent in 2007. His contract runs out in June 2010.
The newspaper is reporting that the city's current superintendent is retiring this summer.
