Tristen Gilleeny, 12, watches as his rocket blasts off Wednesday at the Sand Hill Scout Reservation. Gilleeny and his 7th-grade classmates from Gulf Coast Academy of Science and Technology fired off their homemade rockets as part of trigonometry exercise. The students used an altitude finder to determine how high each rocket flew.
