BROOKSVILLE - A sheriff's deputy arrived at the house of a man with an arrest warrant Monday morning, only to have the suspect shove his bicycle at him and run away on foot, according to a report.

Richard Frazier, 42, of 915 Josephine St., was observed throwing a pill bottle into the woods during his attempted escape, deputies said.

The bottle was recovered in a wooded area and a field test confirmed the "white, chunky substance" inside was cocaine, according to the arrest report.

Deputies were there to arrest him on a charge of driving on a suspended license.

Frazier was apprehended and charged with resisting an officer without violence, tampering with evidence and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a church.

There are three active churches within the immediate area of his residence, deputies said.

Neighbors Complain Of Noise Disturbance

SPRING HILL - Deputies were called Saturday to Fairbanks Road after a neighbor complained of excess noise coming from a nearby bar.

Deputies noticed there had been "multiple verbal warnings" issued to the owner of The Hideaway, 247 Hallcrest Ave., for noise violations, according to an arrest report.

There was a live band and "amplification devices" were being used, deputies said.

A county ordinance was issued for Sylvester P. Hutchins, 74.
