Richard A. Wellman, 83, of Weeki Wachee, died Saturday, June 20, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa. He was born in Amsterdam, N.Y., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Plattsburgh, Pa.
Mr. Wellman was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce and First United Methodist Church, Spring Hill, where he was active on the church board.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda; a son, Eric of Larkspur, Colo.; a daughter, Nancy McClellan of Spring Hill; and six grandchildren.
