Area Deaths

James A. McCormick, 77, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, June 9. He was born in Sanford, N.C.
Mr. McCormick was a member of New Beginnings Life Center.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three daughters, Monica Rodriguez, Millicent Justie and Barbara A. McCormick, all of Spring Hill; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Marion Mervin, 96, of Ridge Manor, died Tuesday, June 9, at Pasco Regional Medical Center. She was born in Falmouth, Mass., and moved to this area 32 years ago from Port Richey.
Mrs. Mervin was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include three sons, John Laughlin of Spring Hill, Tom Laughlin of Shelbyville, Ky., and Tim Laughlin of Richmond, Ind.; three daughters, Mary E. Stout of Ridge Manor, Patricia Mullins of Nashville, Tenn., and Beverly J. Medford of Richmond; a sister, Katharine Tracy of Indianapolis, Ind.; several grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Esther Falconer, 93, of Brooksville, died Thursday, June 11, at Heartland Nursing Home. She was born in Lynden, Wis., and moved to this area 20 years ago.
Survivors include her son, Harold Polglaze; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Daniel C. Thorne, 81, of Weeki Wachee, died Thursday, June 11, in Weeki Wachee. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to this area 15 years ago from Cleveland.
Mr. Thorne was a window washer and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; six sons, Daniel, William, Robert, Steve, Jack, and Richard; two daughters, Linda and Rose; a brother, Norman; a sister, Louise; 21 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
