Elsie Mae Howell, 80, of Brooksville, died Friday, June 5, at her home. She was born in Seminole County and moved to this area 33 years ago from Hialeah.
Mrs. Howell was a homemaker and a Christian by faith.
Survivors include three sons, Fred Miller of Flint, Mich., Richard Miller of Spring Hill and William Howell of Tampa; a daughter, Patricia Day of Ocala; a brother, Robin Starnes; and five grandchildren.
Arrangements by Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel.

Steven C. Allopenna, 61, of Weeki Wachee, died Saturday, June 6, at his home. He moved to this area 28 years ago from his native Brooklyn, New York.
Mr. Allopenna was a supervisor for Hernando County Utilities.
Survivors include his wife, Christine; and a son, Thomas Allopenna of Brooksville.

Paul W. Knipp, 88, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, June 6, at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, Brooksville. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to this area 10 years ago.
Mr. Knipp was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his brother, John.

James T. Snyder, 79, of Brooksville, died Saturday, June 6, at home. He was born in Savannah, Ga.
Mr. Snyder was a police officer for Washington, D.C., and a Korean War and Vietnam War U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; two sons, Keith and John; two daughters, Susan and Deborah; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

William A. Small, 83, of Brooksville, died Sunday, June 7.
Survivors include four children, Pat, Fred, Pam and Penny; a brother, Jack Small; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
