I was wondering if Sheriff Richard Nugent has thought about putting the DARE Program out to a retired police officer as volunteer work.
There are tons of retired officers living in Hernando County, and I bet some were even DARE instructors in their own hometown. I know of one DARE instructor living in Spring Hill who may consider the position. It's just another way we can save the DARE Program and save money at the same time.
