St. Pete Times reporter charged with DUI

Mike Camunas, a St. Petersburg Times reporter, was arrested Tuesday morning on a charge of driving under the influence, jail records show.

Camunas, 26, of Wesley Chapel, was arrested at 2:35 a.m. at Tampa Palms Boulevard and Compton Drive.

Camunas is the community sports editor for the North Suncoast, covering Pasco and Hernando counties, according to a biography on the St. Petersburg Times' Web site.

After Camunas was stopped for DUI, breath tests gauged his blood-alcohol level at 0.191 and 0.190, jail records show. Florida law presumes impairment at a level of 0.08.
