Man pawns city-owned chainsaw

» 5 Comments | Post a Comment

A Brooksville man was arrested Thursday after police say he tried to sell a city-owned chainsaw.

Police were called to Jewels N Time Pawn Shop after a clerk grew suspicious about a chainsaw that had just been pawned. They believed it was stolen because the markings on the chainsaw identified it as a property of the city of Brooksville. A city employee confirmed it was the city's chainsaw, according to a report.

The suspect, Everett Taylor, 28, of 385 Union St., Apt. No. 6, was charged with dealing in stolen property and violation of probation.
