A woman drinking vodka during yard work and a driver who struck a travel trailer are the two reported DUI arrests on Tuesday.
A silver Chevy HHR was pulled over on Sunshine Grove Road near Taft Street after a deputy said the vehicle was weaving in its lane around 5 p.m.
The driver, Barbara Lambie, 50, reportedly told deputies that she drank three vodka and tonics while doing yard work. She was taken to the county jail on suspicion of DUI after she failed field sobriety tests, according to a report.
Deputies say she provided a blood alcohol level of .138 and .134. Florida law presumes intoxication at .08.
Also Tuesday, around 8:30 p.m., deputies were sent to a single-vehicle crash in the parking lot of Register Chevrolet at Cortez and Brookridge boulevards.
They met with Donald Halloran, the driver of a Honda that had crashed through the access gate and flattened three metal barricade poles, a report shows.
The car had further bumped into a fifth wheel trailer, which pushed the trailer into a nearby recreational vehicle, a report states.
Halloran, 72, blamed the wet roads for the crash, but deputies say they detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Halloran reportedly failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of DUI and DUI with property damage.
He provided a blood alcohol level of .072 and .071, a report states.
