Here we are with deficits due to the over spending of our tax dollars over the past five years and now we have both an assistant county administrator and an assistant superintendant of schools.
These two positions cost the county more than a quarter of a million dollars per year for salaries and benefits. What are those in charge thinking? Do other small counties our size really have assistants for these administrators?
I bet the assistants also have office staff, so the $250,000 per year is probably too low of a figure. Can we really afford these luxuries?
