Area Deaths

Vincent Gaffney, 56, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 29, at 4405 Cynthia Lane. He was born in Allentown, Pa.
Mr. Gaffney was an owner/operator of a trucking company.
Survivors include his wife, Leslie; mother, Jean; sons, Michael and Jon; daughters, Lindsey, Alexandra and Angeline; and one grandchild.

Donald Melvin Bird, 64, died Thursday, Jan. 29.
Survivors include his family.

Jimmy Cruz-Ortiz, 57, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Jan. 30. He was born in New York and moved to the area 14 months ago from Aqua Buenas, Puerto Rico.
Survivors include his son, James; nine siblings; and six grandchildren.

Billy Herrin, 50, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Jan. 22.
