Area Deaths

Alfonse F. Kress, 83, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa. He was born in Germany and moved to this area 24 years ago from Carmel, N.Y.
Mr. Kress worked and retired from Thermal Trane Air Corp., Connecticut, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Lieutenant in the Volunteer Fire Department, Mt. Carmel, N.Y., a member of the Republican Committee, Mt. Carmel, and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and attended Bronx Vocational High School.
Survivors include his wife, Olga; a son, Werner of Celebration; a brother, Oscar of Acton, Mass.; a sister, AnnMarie Wildman of Sun City Center; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Louis A. Fatone, 71, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Hospice House of Citrus County, Lecanto. He was born in Bronx, N.Y.
Mr. Fatone was a New York City Transit Policeman.
Survivors include a daughter, Dana Kollman of Sarasota; a son, Michael Fatone of St. Petersburg; two brothers, Mike Fatone of Spring Hill and Al Fatone of Palm Coast; a sister, Aggie Goebel of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony Curtis "TC" Anthony, 60, of Brooksville, died Friday, Jan. 9, at his home.
Mr. Anthony was born in Swainsboro, Ga., and moved to this area 30 years ago.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Mobley of Tampa and Nathea Watts of Swainsboro; three stepsons, Charles Smiley and Willie Rayford, both of Brooksville, and Mark Rayford of Tacoma, Wash.; two stepdaughters, Shirley Rayford and Linda Woods, both of Brooksville; three brothers, L.C. Anthony of Brooksville, Leroy Anthony of Soperton, Ga., and Clifford Anthony of Oak Park, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
