Area Deaths

Dora Piarulli, 82, of Brooksville, died Monday, Jan. 12, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, Brooksville. She was born in Queens, N.Y., and moved to Florida 18 years ago from Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mrs. Piarulli was a homemaker and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony; three sons, Vincent Piarulli of Spring Hill, and Frank and Dino Piarulli of Oceanside, N.Y.; and 10 grandchildren.

Edward P. Lawson, 84, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, Brooksville. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and moved to this area 19 years ago.
Mr. Lawson was a retired mortgage banker and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Adeline; a sister, Marguerite Lawson-Wingard of Venice; and many nieces and nephews.

Marvin C. Young, 72, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Brooksville Regional Hospital. He was born in Plymouth, Iowa, and moved to this area 11 years ago from Waterford, Mich.
Mr. Young was a custodian for Walled Lake School District and a member of Brooksville Moose Lodge and Salvation Army.
Survivors include his wife, Cornetta; two sons, Marvin Jr. of Inverness and Bruce of Palm Springs, Calif.; three daughters, Deborah, Rosetta and Cynthia, all of Michigan; a brother, Alvin of Michigan; three sisters, Eva Mae, Thelma and Jeannette, all of Iowa; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth "Betty" M. Brutlag, 80, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Jan. 12.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; a niece, Gail Zackarias; and a nephew, Steven LaForce.
