Transmission Line Routes To Be Unveiled Wednesday

Progress Energy will unveil its proposed routes for transmission lines through Hernando County at an open house this Wednesday.

Company representatives will be on hand from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Brooksville Elks Lodge, 14494 Cortez Blvd. in Brooksville to present the routes and answer questions.

The company has said the proposed routes will mostly run along its existing power corridors but that a limited amount of new right of way will be needed.
