Utilities Department

BROOKSVILLE - The Hernando County Utilities Department and Citizens for Water invite the public to attend the next session of the 2008-09 Hernando County Water Awareness Series from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 9, at the Hernando County Utilities Department, 21030 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville.

The topic is "It is Easy Being Green!" and will be presented by Dave Bracciano with Tampa Bay Water in Clearwater.

Citizens Ordinance Advisory Team

BROOKSVILLE - The Hernando County Citizens Ordinance Advisory Team (COAT) will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12 in the fourth floor conference room, Hernando County Government Center, 20 N. Main Street, room 461, in Brooksville.

COAT reviews existing county codes and ordinances, and makes recommendations to county commissioners that will benefit the community.

Metropolitan Planning Organization

BROOKSVILLE - The Hernando County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will conduct a public meeting of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13 in the Hernando County Planning Department conference room, 20 N. Main Street, Room 261, Brooksville.

Topics to be discussed include the annual election of officers, 2035 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) update, and the fiscal year 2010-2019 Transit Development Plan (TDP) project kickoff.

The MPO will also conduct a public meeting of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13 at that same location.

BROOKSVILLE - The Library Advisory Committee will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12 in the main library meeting room at 238 Howell Avenue, Brooksville.
