I am one of the "seniors" who ride THE Bus and the ADA to take me to all my doctors and take me shopping. I also use THE Bus to do my volunteer work at Oak Hill Hospital for the past 18 years, helping patients and nurses who work hard in the ER. We are needed, and it makes me feel good. I have medical problems and poor vision so that is why I don't and can't drive anymore.
There are many of us that use THE Bus. We have very good drivers that are helpful, kind and considerate. Please keep THE Bus running.

Congress' Ratings Were Worse Than Bush
Much attention was given to President Bush's historically low approval ratings that even lower ratings given Congress by the American public was often overlooked.
Today, with Democrats controlling Capitol Hill, does anyone believe House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harvey Reid are doing a good job? Despite handing Congress to the Democrats, the vast majority of Americans still feel that they are doing a lousy job handling the economic crisis.
President Bush is considered by many to be the worst president in U.S. history, had 19 percent approval rating. This is enviable compared to Congress's single-digit approval rating in late 2008.
A recent Rasmussen poll question asked to respondents was whether they believed members of Congress are more interested in helping their own carcass than helping people. Sadly, 68 percent of Americans said yes. Americans are "somewhat confident" that their political leaders know what they are doing according to 37 percent in the polls.

Being Squeezed
Can someone tell me what's wrong with this picture? We have seen airlines go bankrupt because of high gas prices, all kinds of large and small businesses going out of business because of the economic instability in our country.
Factories are closing down, car dealerships gone bankrupt, pension funds disappearing, health benefits being dropped, people left to fend for themselves.
Tainted peanut butter killing people, investors swindling their clients, and crime in general on the increase.
The large oil companies are boasting record profits in these difficult times between 40 and 45 billion dollars in profit. Oil going to a low of $33 a barrel and gas going up by about 40 cents a gallon in the last month.
The people are hurting Mr. President, Mr. Congressman, and all government lawmakers. Wake up, America, it's time we fought back. Gas should be around a $1 a gallon. As goes the price of gas, so goes the price of everything we buy.
While we suffer, big business flourishes. In my opinion, this is not fair; and I call upon our government to rectify the wrong that is being done.
