A 35-year-old Spring Hill woman is in critical condition after she was struck by a Jeep Laredo as she walked on the shoulder of Amero Lane.
Danielle Sullivan was walking on the shoulder of Amero near Diane Street around 8 p.m. Monday when she was hit a Jeep driven by Michelle Nielsen, 33, of Spring Hill, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
Nielsen told troopers that she didn't see Sullivan - who was walking against the flow of traffic - because of condensation and glare on the windshield. Sullivan sustained critical injuries and was flown by helicopter to a Tampa hospital.
Nielsen was ticketed for failure to use due care.
