Leonard Mercurio, 99, of Weeki Wachee, died Friday, Feb. 13 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, Brooksville. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Florida 16 years ago from Freeport, N.Y.
Mr. Mercurio was a plumber for the New York City Transit Authority and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his niece, Maria DelGrosso of Plantation; and a nephew, Peter Mercurio of Pine Bush, N.Y.

Grady L. Elkins Jr., 65, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Feb. 13, at Hernando Care Center, Brooksville. He was born in Redhouse, W.Va.
Mr. Elkins worked for an industrial plant as an industrial electrician.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a son, Grady Elkins III; two daughters, Dyan and Debbie; and a grandchild.

Eugenia Feurer, 94, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Feb. 15. She was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to Florida 25 years ago.
Mrs. Feurer worked as a telephone operator and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include a son, James Feurer of Wauconda, Ill.; two daughters, Barbara Helmbreck of Stalker Lake, Minn., and Jacqueline Speelman of Dewey, Ariz.; a stepson, Walter Feurer of Williamsburg, Va.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Carol A. Kedves, 65, of Brooksville, died Friday, Feb. 13. She was born in New Brunswick, N.J., and moved to this area four years ago.
Survivors include a son, Louis; a daughter, Tami; a brother, David; and two grandchildren.

James W. Thornton, 79, of Weeki Wachee, died Sunday, Feb. 15 at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in Hartford, Conn., and moved to this area 18 years ago from Hudson.
Mr. Thornton was a retired carpenter, a member of the Moose Lodge in Hudson and a Presbyterian by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Frances I.; a son, Donald G. Caron of Arizona; a daughter, Polo Van-Faulkenberg of Norwich, Conn.; and a grandchild.
