Area Deaths

Joyce F. Altergott, 67, of Brooksville, died Monday, Feb. 2, at Brooksville Regional Hospital. She was born in Melrose Park, Ill.
She is survived by her family.

Maurice McCabe, 59, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Hospice. He was born in Port Huron, Mich., and moved to this area four years ago from St. Petersburg.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Michele McCabe; two daughters, Lindsay Rance and Kristina McCabe; a sister, Kathy McCabe; and a grandson.

Miguel Angel Padron Sr., 93, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Feb. 5.
Mr. Padron was known as "Mike the Plumber", having owned several businesses including Mike's Plumbing and Mike's Hardware.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; four sons, Miguel A. Padron Jr, Robert R. Padron, Richard Padron and Kevin Padron; a daughter, Gloria P. Balbontin; a sister, Josephine Bancells; two brothers, Lawrence Padron and Jose Padron Jr.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Joseph Wesley Dickerson, 84, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Feb. 5. He was born in Detroit, Mich.
Mr. Dickerson retired as captain from the Detroit Fire Department. He was a World War II U.S. Coast Guard veteran and a member of American Legion Post 186.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria; a son, Steven; a daughter, Debera Cassandria; and eight grandchildren.
