Two vehicles involved in an accident Wednesday night at the corner of Barclay Avenue and Spring Hill Drive pulled into a nearby parking lot and waited for deputies, according to a sheriff's report.
One of the drivers, Brian Ray Husson, fled the scene in his Chevrolet Suburban while paramedics were treating the driver of the other vehicle, deputies said.
Witnesses noticed Husson was intoxicated, according to the report.
Husson, 61, of 4075 Flamingo Blvd. in Hernando Beach, was discovered later along Angelfish Drive and was transported back to the scene of the accident, deputies said.
His blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit and he was charged with DUI, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
Husson also was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
His bond was set at $1,000.
