Years ago, during his impeachment, then-President Bill Clinton made the ridiculous statement, "it depends on what your definition of is is." The Democrats now bring the word "how" to the forefront.
We are on our way to a national health care bill. Wonderful! My question is how will it work, and how will we pay for it? The Democrats can use all the clichés and catch-phrases they want - it covers 31 million uninsured Americans, the bill is deficit neutral, it's not a perfect bill but it's a good first step, andit's not a government-run health care program.
To all of that I ask, how?
How will it cover 31 million more Americans?
How will it not cost us anything? How is it not a government-run program?
Our country is on the brink of economic ruin, and we are trying to take over running health care now?
What's next, will the government give houses to people who can't afford them?
Oh wait, they already did that with the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac debacle.
That's why we're in such financial stress.
My next question to the Democrats also starts with the word how.
How will you all get re-elected when the seniors discover their Medicare will be cut by this bill, when people who own businesses discover they will be taxed higher to pay for this bill, when doctors stop taking Medicare patients,when people discover we'll be paying for this bill right away, butthe benefits don't start until 2014, and whenthe bribes you had to use to get this bill passed, come to light?
This bill is bad for America, but good for the Republican party. Thank you Democrats. When you all voted "aye" for this bill, you also voted for the end of the Democratic Party's majority in Congress.
