Erasing or adding the dots makes us an uneasy target

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

Political correctness in reporting information or doing one's job is either limiting dots, which would complete an accurate picture, or adding dots to create a false picture. In either case it is making America less safe for all of us.

In the case of Major Nidal Malik Hassan in Fort Hood, Texas, significant dots were not allowed to be placed in his personal file at Walter Reed Hospital. His peers and superiors would be damaged by putting information in his folder that would be viewed as politically incorrect. As a psychiatrist he attempted to convert soldiers to Islam while counseling them and his speech in front of his colleagues directly condemning America are both red flags that went unreported.

The military establishment has become too politically sensitive. Instead of giving our military men medals for their courageous acts, it is allowing the adding of false dots dictated by captured enemies. This creates the impression that our brave soldiers are the perpetrators. Al-Qaida has even trained their terrorists to lie to use our legal system against us and they have been successful.

Four Navy SEALs arrested the No. 1 Iraqi terrorist who masterminded the horrific murder and torture of four American contractors in 2004. These same heroic SEALs were then arrested. The alleged crime of these professional soldiers is that one of the SEALs allegedly punching this cold-blooded killer while apprehending him. The accuser of these soldier's alleged misdeeds is the same terrorist they arrested. He is granted constitutional rights that are reserved only for law-abiding citizens, not our enemies.

This is more than absurd; it is a treasonous practice leaving every American soldier, intelligence officer and policeman with the feeling that there is an American gun pointed at their head whenever they do their duty to protect our nation.

The dots added to the Navy SEALs by second guessing them is similar to President Barack Obama's spontaneous, critical and inaccurate analysis of Sgt. James Crowley's arrest of Obama's friend, Professor Henry Louis Gates. Even with these uncalled for dots added to Officer Crowley's record, an examination of his personal history showed an exemplary officer carrying out the police procedures perfectly. His innocence had to be proven after the president prejudged him as a rogue cop.

In pre-PC America, the innocent did not have to prove their innocence. In post-PC America, noble and innocent people have to endanger themselves to do an already dangerous job while the evil perpetrators are given every break, including our constitutional rights to which they are not entitled.

In today's politically correct world the ultimate excuse for dereliction of ones duties is the person's conscious unwillingness to connect the dots. Although the individual sees the obvious with his own eyes or senses an imminent danger, it is safer and easier to just remain silent if a person is a member of a politically protected group. They are not punished or held accountable for their cowardice.

When an organizational hierarchy threatens or punishes underlings for reporting factual information, the entire system breaks down. It makes it in his best interest for the subordinate to ignore his intuition while making it impossible to hold anyone accountable.

The flip side of the PC coin is our enforcement officers who are required to perform their duties in a super human way knowing they will not receive the support of authorities covering their backs. In fact, the heroic choice to bravely do the right thing under these restricted conditions has the added danger of being second-guessed by their superiors.

Which side are our leaders on? A society cannot survive when soldiers, intelligence officers and police officers are straight-jacketed while evil is empowered. This is against all natural impulses of self-preservation.

Political correctness is censoring the truth and destroying order and peace. The bad guys are given every advantage and the good guys are given every disadvantage. The weakening of the U.S. is done by design, not by mistake. It is an historical method used to transform a traditional society into a totalitarian one.

The organizational chart of the federal government shows the buck stopping at the presidential desk. The commander in chief should abolish the current rules of PC. If not, he should resign or be impeached for continuing the policy that is destroying the defenses of America.

This policy of political correctness is a disaster to our military and civilian defenders and to the safety of America.
