Once again on the television and in the newspapers we hear and read the words "we inherited the problem" from the Bush administration. These people need to be taken out back to the wood shed and have their backsides blistered for lying to and disrespecting the people. Note to the Democratic congressmen and women: You cannot "inherit" something from yourself.
You have been in power in the government since the November election of 2006. That is "three years" of mishandling of everything involved in running this country. You have had total control of all funding for all of the hundreds of programs and projects taking place since you gained control of the Congress. This includes war funding, all entitlement funding and regulation (such as health care and Social Security), regulation of the Fed, banks and Wall Street as well as the areas of housing involving Freddie Mac and Fannie May and thousands of pork projects.
You run all of the committees and subcommittees having oversight over all of the above and you have done nothing. The sitting president has to accept his share of the blame and "guilt" since he was one of the voting Senators who got us where we were in 2008 until today. He voted for all of the excessive spending and ear marks and against any regulation of Freddie and Fannie on the few days he was actually at work in D.C. Instead he was out on the campaign trail.
When you hear your president and congressmen saying "we inherited the problem," they are telling you loud and clear that you are too stupid to understand that they are the problem. You need to think every time they use those words, "That dunderhead is calling me ignorant and stupid." Then you need to vote them out of office. That also includes any Republicans that voted with them.
Some people reading this are going to get all up in a huff and indignant at me. I say to you that you should first read your Constitution at least one time. The area of the Constitution concerning the above letter is in Article (1) Sections 7 & 8. While reading those sections I then recommend you read the rest of it. It won't take but 10 or 15 minutes.
If after reading this fine document you still think they are telling you the truth, then you really are what they think you are.
