The president has no clothes

As I watched the crowning of our president at Oslo, Norway, I was reminded of a story in the Bible. It goes somewhat like this: The Israelites had reached the Promised Land and they asked the prophet Samuel that they wanted a king instead of God to judge them. They wanted to be like other nations with kings, and didn't want God to be their judge. God told Samuel to let them have a king, and warned them what to expect from a king. God said that they would become the servants of the king and that God will no longer hear them when they cried out because they preferred to be ruled by man than by God. As a consequence to their desires, they had many bad and corrupt kings.

Under Roman rule the emperor sat as governing counsel to the senate and had the authority to suspend the senate during times the republic would face an emergency. With this overreaching power over the senate, the emperor often abused his position to advance his own ambitions. Today, our republic has some similarities with the Roman republic.

Our president now has some overreaching authority over the Congress. Under the National Emergency Act, the president can declare national emergencies without the consent of the Congress. Presidential Directives NSPD 51 and HSPD 20 now in place allow the president to declare a major national emergency and can suspend all constitutional powers, including habeas corpus.

In addition to issues of national security and the imposition of presidential directives in order to maintain a continuity of government (COG), the president under public law 109-364 allows the president to declare a "public emergency." Under this authority granted to the president, he may institute martial law and deploy the armed forces and mobilized the National Guard for domestic service, in order to restore public order.

Such "public emergency" may result from serious public health emergency, natural disaster, epidemic, terrorist attack or other public disorder that may occur in any state or possessions of the United States.

Can the collapse of the dollar and a depression cause a public disorder? Why did Homeland Security target those who oppose abortion, gun control, lax immigration laws and other myriad policies supported by President Barack Obama's administration as "right-wing extremists?"

Please stay informed and seek only the truth and share it with other American patriots. "No government can continue good, but under the control of the people." - Thomas Jefferson.
