In the Dec. 9 edition of Hernando Today, the cartoon depicting the global warming scientists as crazed mad scientists reminded me just what a joke this whole "global warming" scam is.
Take for example what is happening in Copenhagen, Denmark, where you have all these world leaders and scientists who gathered to discuss global warming, all arriving in their private jets and limos, which according to the reports amounts to 1,200 jets and 140 limos. Then there is the report that these global warming scientists were fudging data to support global warming.
This past October was one of the coolest on record, as was this summer, and yet you hear these scientists make these proclamations that "we are all going to die if we don't act now!"
Oh really?
Growing up I was always taught to ask questions. But today you better not ask hard questions about global warming. You're considered a nut or even stupid if you question the whole theory behind global warming.
To these scientists I ask: How do you know what you call global warming isn't due to natural trends like solar activity? We have been going through extreme changes in our climate since the formation of the Earth. More than a hundred years ago, we just came out a period known as the "Little Ice Age."
Who are these scientists anyway who call carbon dioxide a dangerous pollutant? Carbon dioxide is needed by plants to live, which, in turn, give us oxygen. And we, along with all land animals, exhale carbon dioxide when we breathe.
There is a chemical that kills more people every day than carbon dioxide and that is dihydrogen oxide. But you don't hear anyone complain about that.
Let's face it, the whole Global Warming Movement is more political than science-based. I even go as so far as to call it a socialist movement. I take comfort in hearing that more and more people doubt the existence of man-made global warming.
Now, if only the people in Washington and the media would start asking the hard questions.
