Hernando County sheriff's deputies charged four men and one woman with harvesting marijuana after one of them called deputies to report a home invasion and theft of some of the drugs according to arrest reports.

Wilson Rodriguez, 40, Tampa, Javier Verde, 35, Miami, Jarol Zamora-Herrera, 34, no address given and Edilberto Serrano, 25 and Batista Yunet, 25, both of Weeki Wachee, were arrested Tuesday morning after deputies responded to a 911 call concerning a home invasion at 11480 Manassass Ave.

The defendants agreed that someone broke in and stole three to five pounds of marijuana from the residence. Deputies responding to the call found a marijuana growing operation with 59 plant stocks along with irrigation and ventilation equipment according to sheriff office reports.

Only Yunet claimed to not know about the marijuana growing in the house despite living there.

All five were transported to the Hernando County Jail and held on $5,000 bond.

Deputies are still investigating the home invasion.
