A 20-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after she assaulted her stepfather with a portable radio, wooden stool and glass ashtray, deputies said.
It was the second time in a week Genesis N. Fuentes was charged with domestic battery.
The victim, Lou Martin, 40, told authorities his wife had been arrested that morning for DUI. When he told his stepdaughter later that day, she became irate and began yelling at Martin, according to an arrest report.
Fuentes picked up a portable radio and slammed it against the victim's stomach, deputies said.
When the victim got up from the sofa, Fuentes grabbed a wooden stool and swung it at him, striking him on the leg, according to the report.
Fuentes picked up a glass ashtray and threw it at Martin, who ducked and covered his head, deputies said.
She fled the house, located at 2228 Bishop Road, in a Chevrolet van. As the arresting deputy was leaving the house after interviewing Martin, he observed Fuentes driving by in her vehicle, according to the report.
During a traffic stop, she denied being involved in a fight with her stepfather. She was arrested and was being held at the Hernando County Jail with no bond.
Both Fuentes and Martin were arrested Nov. 25 after the two of them spit at each other during an argument inside the same house, according to a separate arrest report.
Martin also was accused of grabbing Fuentes by the wrist and knocking her into the wall during the argument.
