A woman was charged with child abuse and delivery of a controlled substance after giving a 16-year-old girl prescription pills, police said.
Angela T. Taylor, 30, of 600 Darby Lane in Brooksville is accused of providing the victim with coricidin, a strong cough medicine, and Valium.
She is alleged to have given her the drugs Nov. 20, Brooksville police said.
Taylor told the girl the pills would make her high and she would be "cool" if she took the drugs with her, according to a media release.
During her interview with authorities, Taylor admitted to giving the girl the drugs and said she didn't know she was 16 years old, police said.
Her bond was set at $70,000.
