A fundraising event for Marco Rubio, running for the U.S. Senate seat recently vacated by Republican Mel Martinez, will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Silverthorn Country Club, off Barclay Avenue.
Rubio is a former Florida Speaker of the House of Representatives.
A donation of $100 per person is suggested.
