Betty H. Gibson, 79, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Aug. 22, at her home. She was born in High Point, N.C., and moved to this area 47 years ago from Clearwater.
Mrs. Gibson was a homemaker and during her years in Brooksville, she was active with First United Methodist Church, the "Cowbelles", adult tennis, bridge and the Citrus "A's" Model A Club, Inverness.
Survivors include her companion, Joe Haley of Brooksville; a son, Bobby Gibson of Clearwater; two granddaughters; a great-grandson; and a nephew.
