Deputies report two DUI arrests Wednesday, including a man who rolled his Jeep Cherokee on State Road 50, west of U.S. 19.
The crash was reported around 10 p.m. and a deputy arriving at the intersection of Mary's Fish Camp Road found the Jeep on its side. The driver of the SUV, Bobby Ball, was standing in the vehicle, unable to exit through the driver's side window, a report states.
The deputy said he "immediately" detected the odor of alcohol coming from Ball and the suspect admitted he'd had "a few," a report states.
After Ball, 65, was medically cleared, he performed field sobriety tests, which he reportedly failed. He was taken to jail on suspicion of DUI, where he provided a blood alcohol content of .183 and .172; Florida law presumes intoxication at .08.
He was also given a citation for careless driving.
Earlier Wednesday evening, around 6:30 p.m., a deputy patrolling in the area of Broad Street and Campbell Drive said he saw a white Chevy Lumina roll through a stop sign.
He followed the car to Canal Drive, observing along the way that car failed to stay in its lane and nearly collided with another vehicle, a report shows.
The car was pulled over and the deputy said the driver, Mary Nelson, 32, showed signs of intoxication. She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driving on a suspended license. She provided a blood alcohol level of .194 and .196, according to a report.
