Follow forebears' wisdom

Editor's note: The following is an open letter to national politicians and is published here at the author's request:

We, the people of the United States of America, do not need or want government bureaucracy monitoring our health care and telling us when it is time to die.

That is in God's hands.

Our nation was founded on our motto "In God We Trust." We need to follow the wisdom of our forebears in writing our Constitution, which our current leaders seem to think was a suggestion, not rules to govern by.

Please help put a stop to so much wasteful spending. We cannot support the poor and needy of the whole world, as much as we might like to. Nor do we need the added expense, which would no doubt be great, of monitoring everyone's health care.

Help lead our great America back to government by the people, for the people, not toward socialism or dictatorship.
