The Hernando County Property Appraiser's Office will be mailing homeowners the Notice of Proposed Property Taxes (TRIM) on Friday, Aug. 14.
Although the front of the notice states "DO NOT PAY," it is important to open and read the notice, as it contains the deadline to file a formal appeal with the Value Adjusted Board (VAB) if you disagree with the estimated market value. This deadline is established by Florida statute based on the date of mailing of the TRIM notice and is highlighted in blue near the bottom of the notice.
