BROOKSVILLE Joseph Weeks Sr., longtime owner of Weeks Hardware Store on Main Street, is the great Brooksvillian of 2009.
City council members made their decision during Monday night's meeting.
Weeks was among five candidates presented to the council, with the No. 1 choice being attorney Joe Mason. Councilwoman Lara Bradburn asked that Weeks receive the pick, saying that Weeks "represents the best of Main Street America."
