Area Deaths

Alphonse J. Fretto, 65, of Weeki Wachee, died Tuesday, March 31, at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 27 years ago.
Mr. Fretto was a retired New York City police officer, U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; a son, Joseph; two daughters, Stephanie and Kimberly; and two grandchildren.

Herbert E. Flavell, 80, of Weeki Wachee, died Tuesday, March 31, at his home. He was born in Manchester, Conn., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Glastonbury, Conn.
Mr. Flavell was a supervisor for Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, Conn., a U.S. Navy veteran and a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include three sons, Brent Flavell of Vernon, Conn., Jeffrey Flavell of Salisbury, Vt., and Todd Flavell of Hebron, Conn.; and a daughter, Paige Flavell-Hamilton of Hawaii.
