Area Deaths

Fae D. Moorhead, 85, of Brookridge, died Thursday, Sept. 18, in Spring Hill under the care of hospice and her friends. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, and moved to the area 26 years ago from Perrysburg, Ohio.
Ms. Moorhead retired after 31 years as a communications supervisor at Champion Spark Plug Company.

Mildred VanWarmer Dowell, 97, of Fenton, Mich., died Friday, Sept. 19, at her daughter's residence. She lived in Port Huron, Mich., and Spring Hill for most of her life.
Ms. Dowell worked in retail until she was 85 years old. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Spring Hill.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Redmond, of Fenton; son, Gary, of Spring Hill; sister, Dorothy Dodd, of Sylvania, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
