Earl's 'Call To Patriots' Out Of Touch With The Truth

»  Comments | Post a Comment

This past Thursday we were once again blessed with the wisdom of Frances Earl in which she asked the question: "What Planet is McCain Living On?" To which I ask her: What planet are you living on Ms. Earl?

I'm writing this letter in support of John McCain. He's not exactly the kind of person I would like to see as president, but he's way better than Barack Obama.

You want to talk about our economy. Well, let's talk about Obama's close ties to Lehman Brothers and the fact that his top economic adviser, Robert Rubin, was a partner in Lehman Brothers. Or the fact the both Obama and Biden were among the top politicians to receive money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

You also bring up former Sen. Phil Gramm, who you hold solely responsible for the mortgage failures. You must think people are really that stupid to blame one senator. It doesn't take a genius, only a lazy person, not to learn the truth about that bill. The truth is that the Gramm bill was voted overwhelmingly in the Senate with only two "no" votes, and it was former President Bill Clinton who signed the bill into law.

Of course, Ms. Earl can't help herself by taking another jab at Gov. Sarah Palin saying: "So should you vote for this inexperienced nobody simply because she is a woman?" If we are going to vote for someone with experience, Ms. Earl, then why should anyone vote for Obama for president? He has far less executive experience than Palin, and she is running for vice president. And please don't bring up that Obama was a community activist. While being a community activist is a noble endeavor, it is not the same thing as being a governor.

Once again, I must commend the editors at Hernando Today for printing Ms. Earl's column, for it shows just how out of touch with the truth Ms. Earl truly is.
