Anderson Best Choice
For Supervisor Of Elections
Shirley Anderson is the best choice for supervisor of elections. Shirley has called our attention to numerous mistakes made by our current supervisor and these mistakes have been costly to taxpayers.
We also need a person who will monitor our voting procedures and make sure ballots are being cast by legitimate registered voters in Hernando County. She needs to watch out for ACORN tactics of registering the homeless who are passing through, deceased persons and duplicate names. We need a competent person we can depend on, and that person is Shirley Anderson!

Vote 'No' For
SHFR Independence
Vote "no" on independence for the Spring Hill Fire Rescue district. The 4 versus 1 fire board has struck again. In a recent fire board meeting, Chairman Charles Raborn said that anytime a taxpaying citizen complained about high salaries and benefits, they were suggesting the firefighter had not earned it. Pure bunk. The citizen was concerned as to whether the taxpayers of Spring Hill could afford the contract, not what the firefighters had earned.
This is simply one more example of why Spring Hill Fire Rescue should merge with Hernando County Fire Rescue and the fire board abolished. Remember, this is the 4 versus 1 fire board that approved the $1.4 million renovation for the Taj Mahal fire station, $800,000 plus for the useless ladder truck, approved the health care section of the contract providing for full-paid health care for employees of the fire district, ($15,000 for each employee) the $60,000-plus salary for the mechanic (plus benefits), the contract provision providing for a paid vacation for drug abusing employees, allowed intimidation of tax-paying citizens at board meetings, planning to build a new fire station without first considering entering into automatic aide pacts with Hernando and Pasco counties. Maybe I shouldn't be concerned. After all, according to a spokesperson for Spring Hill Fire Rescue, this is all just "chump change."
Who's the chump? I appreciate and support Commissioner Rob Giammarco's efforts on behalf of taxpayers of Spring Hill. Vote "no" on the independent fire district.

Time For A New
Supervisor Of Elections
Some things have got to give with these constant mistakes in the Supervisor of Elections office. Anyone can make a mistake, but when an elected official's office is plagued with mistakes, the citizens begin to lose confidence in her ability to do her job!
I think Annie Williams is making too many costly mistakes - maybe it is time for a new supervisor!
